Three things

Well, someone got me again! But this one has a little more substance than the last one, and so I'm gonna give it a whirl again. I've been tagged by Kara!

So here are the rules: Post the rules on your blog and complete the following: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, and 3 random, surprising facts about yourself. At the end of your post tag three people and let them know they are tagged by leaving them a comment on their blog- Have fun!

3 Joys:

  1. My family

  2. Watching my hubby work so hard so that I can be home with my children, and not missing out on things (currently) like VBS or teaching Colin his letters/numbers/how to read!
  3. Edy's slow-churned (1/2 the fat and calories--what am I, crazy?) French Silk ice cream....to die for!

3 Fears:

  1. Something happening to Shane or one of the boys

  2. Not making a 'right' decision on something concerning the boys (i.e. education, etc.)

  3. Deciding to have another child and then losing it again

3 Goals:

  1. Finish teaching Colin every letter and number, phonics, and how to put letters together to make words by the end of the summer

  2. Finish the Chronicles of Narnia series before the end of summer

  3. The never-ending goal.....lose 5 more pounds :-)

3 Obsessions/Collections:

  1. Making sure my boys all nap together EVERY day (Mommy needs her time, too!)
  2. I do love Bath and Body Works.....don't know that I would call myself obsessed, but if I am in a mall NO WAY can I pass up going in that store
  3. Being organized and in a routine. I wouldn't call myself 'schedule obsessed', but I do find that children, at least the ones I know, thrive on being in some sort of a routine, even if it is a relaxed one. Parents that let their kids run the show drive me crazy. That's why we are the parents. (Okay, off my soapbox now....)

3 Random/Surprising Fact About Me:

  1. I died laughing at your Food Network answer Kara.....mine is sort of similar: I, too, could waste away watching the Food Network--but I LOVE to cook and come up with new recipes! I also could watch QVC from morning 'till night (but only if there is something on that I am interested in) but I rarely buy anything from them! When I do, though, it's been great stuff. Nothing bad to say from this girl about QVC!

  2. I am a gardener and a canner (I know, can you believe it? Bet you thought no one did that anymore!) I can green beans, carrots, tomatoes of all kinds, make my own applesauce and salsa and can that....and I am willing to try making/canning just about anything! It is so awesome to have garden fresh veggies in your house all year round without having to jet to the store to get them! Not for the faint of heart though....gardening and canning both are an incredible amount of work.

  3. I actually enjoy cleaning. Yup, I know. Weird. But in fact, I could clean all day long (I could clean houses for a living, I think....) if I had to. However, I hate cleaning when I have my three children around. Before my children, my house was always spotless (took after good old mommy in that way--I always said she caught the dust before it fell). But since the boys are getting older now, I always feel like I am neglecting them when I am cleaning and I hate that. Plus, it always takes me three times (or more) longer to get tasks accomplished, and I just end up hating the task and being irritated with my boys, which I don't like to be. Ugh. Makes for a 'messier-than-I-want-it-to-be' house some days. I know it's time to get to it when sweet Cameron comes to me with the vacuum hose attachment for the kitchen and says, "We need bacuum Mommy? I help!"

Okay, now here comes the fun part--tagging three people. Well, this is my blog, and I know I've already tagged them, but I am doing it again--Aimee and Karie (cause I am interested in what they will have to say) and Julie, for the same reasons and because I know she will respond! Can't wait to read the answers girls!
