Why is it....

that

Sunday through Friday

when there are things to do

and places to go

I have to drag my

semi-comatose

boys--

who make it seem as though

pitchforks

or

tasers

couldn't pry them from their slumber--

kicking and screaming (figuratively)

and

fussing and crying (literally)

out of bed?

But on

Saturday--oh, glorious Saturday--

that beautiful, one time of week

that comes with the *hopeful illusion* of much-needed sleep--

they bound out of bed

with the very first ray of light

that peeks through their blinds

with more

energy

volume

stamina

excitement

(and did I mention volume??)

than they can muster on the other six days

put together

and

insist

on taking everyone who lives under their roof

out of dreamland

with them?

I don't want to go to that place at 6:45 on a Saturday, thankyouverymuch.

Hmmmmph.

That's funny. But, I feel your pain and know that it is really not! They are just trying to prepare you for the upcoming days when Peanut will be keeping you up at all hours. Ohhh, speaking of babies sleeping, I must give you back our sleeping "manual". It is the little instruction book that all babies must be born with!

bahahahahahah.
I related to this so much that I literally laughed out loud. They're so darn cute, but can't they sleep just a bit later? hehe.

No kidding! I think it's the fact that Monday through Friday they HAVE to get up to go somewhere...and on Saturday it's their choice. Oh well.
Have a great weekend :)

Oh dear! If it makes you feel a little better, this morning my alarm started going off at 6:00am because Ande wanted to go to Starbucks at 8:00. Under any other circumstances, I would NOT have gotten up that early on a Saturday. But for Starbucks? OH YEAH.

I feel your pain every Saturday too! It has helped since we got Colby an alarm clock and told him he is NOT to get out of his bed until 7am! Before that he'd be up by 5:30:(
