On a roll....

Cameron is always funny.

Today, though, he has been in rare form. The kid is cracking me up at every turn.

This morning, while we were at an appointment.....

Cameron was playing on a Little Tykes plastic jungle gym, I noticed how big he seemed. It looked to me like he had grown a bunch since the last time he had played on that very same toy--and I told him so.

"Cameron, you look so big to me....you look like you've grown a foot since the last time you've played on that!"

Cameron, looking down: "Nope Mom. I only still have two."

Then, inside the office.....

I was explaining to Cam, as he was playing with several plastic toy animals, about some of the specifics of the kinds of animals he was playing with. We talked about whales and dolphins, about sheep, and then.....

"What's this, Momma?"

"Well, that is a special kind of dog, honey. It's called a German Shepherd. They are very, very smart and can be trained to do lots of things, like help people who can not see well--or they can even be trained to help the police!"

Enter the nurse.

Cameron turns right to her, holds up the plastic dog, and says:

"See this? This is a very special dog. We have to be careful with him....he is full of germs."

And then, after returning home and settling back down in the routine of things.....

"Boys, are you okay in here for a minute?" I asked. (They were playing the Wii, and were a bit, *ahem*, engrossed in what they were doing--I don't even know that they'd have missed me had I walked out of the room unannounced, but I told them, just the same....) "I have to go change Lola's diaper."

Ethan, with his new favorite question: "But why, Mommy?"

Cameron, not missing a beat of his sword fighting game: "Because she smells like a garbage can Ethan, that's why."

That's stinkin' hysterical. LOVE the two feet comment, and the smells like garbage remark is something like what we might say around here.

SO funny.

Love it! You've got to love the brutal, one dimensional honesty that comes from kids. It is what it is what it is with them, right?
