Field trip!

Just about a week before the end of school, Ethan, Lola and I got to go on a field trip with Cameron's class.

I'm pretty sure, as excited as I was, that I was not the most excited! Ethan could not wait to get on that bus. He loves being included in anything school related. As much as I am going to dread letting him go at the end of the summer, I know Kindergarten is going to be a great fit for him!

Cam and E on the bus, getting ready to head over to Champaign

Lola and Mommy--told you I wasn't the only excited one!

Cameron wanted to hold Lola for a while.
He is so protective of her in group situations, it is so cute.

We went to a small children's museum over in Champaign.

The kids got to dig for dinosaur bones and other treasures.

Cameron found several.....

....and even Lola found one or two!

When it was time to go inside, Lola just joined right in with the class.
She sat and listened very well, and Cheyenne and Gabby welcomed her right into their group!

Cameron took a turn being a veterinarian....

(taking care of a dog with Cheyenne)

The kids checked out some snakes/bugs/spiders....

.....played some Legos....

....and had some fun at the water and sand tables!

After the museum, it was off to the park for lunch and some play time.
Little Lolee just blended right in with the girls! She didn't even sit with me when it was time to eat :)

But, when it came to the swings....she definitely wanted Mommy again! This girl loves her some swings!

We had a great trip, and I am so grateful to be able to do stuff like this. Staying at home with the kids--and having the freedom to be with them during these times--is the best job ever!
