They just smell like his workplace & not much of anything can get that out.
My question with the liquid version is how do you get the concentrate out of that five gallon bucket poured into the empty jugs? I'm pretty sure I would make a HUGE mess so maybe you have a method? :-)Mary Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06403083611514935619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932644491099258366.post-49518525991126520762012-04-10T12:09:48.243-05:002012-04-10T12:09:48.243-05:00I totally did the same thing this past Friday....e...I totally did the same thing this past Friday....except I made a slightly smaller batch. Same recipe though.
Had to laugh at Lola wanting to eat it and thinking the soap was cheese. Because I thought the SAME thing....."this looks like grated cheese".
I like shaving it with a knife. I may try that next time. =)Mindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03592627780339395321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932644491099258366.post-10384419362480900132012-04-10T10:15:59.954-05:002012-04-10T10:15:59.954-05:00Oh - and by the way - you better have given that p...Oh - and by the way - you better have given that precious little girl the cheese she wanted ;)Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12065218097606189950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932644491099258366.post-40534927256364298632012-04-10T10:13:07.069-05:002012-04-10T10:13:07.069-05:00I am gonna try this! Huds came in when I was scrolling through it and he said "who's dat?" I told him Lola and so he smiled and said "hi Lola" (I think it is a good sign - ha!) A few questions:
1) clothes come out smelling clean? it gets out the boy grime? do you use fabric softener with it or just this in your machine?
2) what about this - if I don't want to store so much of it - what if I just half the recipe?? Shouldn't be a problem, right?! I am just thinking it is easier to store half a bar of soap than all that concentrate :)
3) could I store the "ready to use" portion in the now nearly empty liquid laundry Tide or Gain soap dispenser? (i.e. the ready to use stuff is liquid-ey enough to come out of the nozzle???)

Let me know! Gonna try this this week.

Thanks!Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12065218097606189950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932644491099258366.post-43444550942359311782012-04-10T10:00:20.175-05:002012-04-10T10:00:20.175-05:00I just recently made my own laundry soap, but I ma...I just recently made my own laundry soap, but I made a powder version. So far I like it. It's gotten everything clean. I'm thinking your version is cheaper than what I did though and might try it next time. I used the entire box of borax and washing soda and 3 bars of fels naptha (plus some oxyclean for extra stain remover), and it only made 5 gallons of soap.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03258832912168437580noreply@blogger.com
