....you just have to go with the 'whims' he gets sometimes.
Like today.
"Honey, what do you think about me pulling up the carpet in the living room?" Shane said to me tonight, around 5 o'clock.
My response?
"I don't care, babe. Whatever you want to do."
Next thing I hear?
"Colin? Cameron? Ethan? Want to help Daddy with a project?"
{Enter my big, giant *sigh* here....knowing that another mess is coming right around the corner that I'm going to be cleaning up after.}
So, what did I do?
Why, grabbed the camera, of course. This event must be documented.
I love this picture. This captures the boys' attitudes every single time Shane does a project--lined up, one-two-three, right next to him to help.
Cameron is always right next to Daddy.
Pushing the couch out of the way for the removal of the next section! Such great helpers.
Rolling it up....
And, so....here it is, 8:30ish....and my living room now has hard wood floors. We're lucky--they are beautiful! Shane will still be refinishing them, but for now....

Wow, it looks fantastic! That hardwood is gorgeous...what a treasure! I wonder if no longer having carpet will have a direct impact on the amount of wrestling that happens in that room...probably not. :) Good work!
Wow, those floors ARE beautiful! See, I guess I'm the 'Shane' in our house. That's how I start projects. Of course, my projects NEVER only last 3.5 hours. Guess I need to stop picking such big projects. :)
Looks beautiful girl! Now you're DEF gonna need babylegs for when LC starts crawling.
Oh yeah, tell Shane I said, "Way to be a great Daddy who lets his boys help out with projects!" :)
wow...that turned out great! you are much nicer than me though, I would have probably said no!
Great looking room!
It's so cute to me the way he lets all the boys help out! Glad the floors look so wonderful without any real work.
Love the wood floors! It makes the room look bigger. :)
Are you kidding me? Did you have hardwood floors under the carpet? That's awesome.
