Gratefu . . . thankfu . . . whatever

At lunch a couple of days ago: Colin and Cameron are complaining that they would like red grapes instead of green.

"But we don't like the green ones." says Colin.

"Colin," I replied, "you asked me to buy the green ones."

"I did!? No.....that was Cameron!"

Cameron: "Yeah, Mom...that was me."

Me: "Well, either way, we have two choices. We can choose to be grateful for the fact that we have food, and eat it and not complain, or we can choose to grumble and not be thankful for the fact that God has provided food for our family today."

(Apparently, they needed prompting.)

"What are we going to choose, boys?"

Colin, mumbling: "Whatever you said the first thing was, I guess."
